Maarif student Taif mentioned: “I dedicate this victory to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, whose support greatly impacted what was achieved.”

She began her speech to Sabq: “Our ambition is limitless, and that’s the least I can do for my country.” These are the humble words of student Taif bint Ahmed Al-Hadmi, who won second place in the field of energy during her participation in the “ISEF” exhibition.

Taif from Qena - Center of Asir, a student in the third grade of secondary school at Manarat Al Riyadh National, said: “I have been in the school since childhood, specifically when I was in the third grade of primary school. I participated in talent programs and several local and international competitions, such as mental arithmetic competitions (Al-Khwarizmi Al-Saghir), and did well at the district and national levels. I also participated in competitions in South Africa, Malaysia, and Thailand, and achieved leading positions.”

She added: “When I reached the secondary stage, I was drawn to another path away from mathematics and mental arithmetic, which is a passion for scientific research, and began preparing for a unique qualitative study, entitled “Increasing hydrogen production using a new and unique technology.” I worked for nearly a year on this project in cooperation with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Thank God, the results of tests and experiments were fruitful and effective.”

She continued: “Then, I presented this project in the ‘Ibdaa Scientific’ exhibition in Dhahran this year and won sixth place, qualifying among 35 students to ‘ISEF 2023’ in Dallas, USA, and won second place in the field of energy.”

A year full of national achievements. From Dallas, our team returned with 27 awards with second place in America, and at the same time, our heroes set out into space to achieve more, and it will not be the last achievement; we still have a lot to do for our country.

She pointed out: “My arrival in an international forum, in which I represented our beloved Saudi Arabia, is the least I can offer our great country.”

She said: “I dedicate this victory to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to our inspiration and role model, the Crown Prince, whose unlimited support greatly impacted what has been achieved. And a kiss on my forehead for my father and mother, whose support, after Allah’s help, was credited with reaching what I have achieved. And thanks to King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, especially Dr. Abdullah Al-Otaibi, who was my strong supporter in this achievement.”

She concluded by saying: ”I also thank King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity for their support and for providing for all our requirements to facilitate a journey full of achievements. Also, my school, ‘Manarat Al-Riyadh’, which helped and supported me to achieve a dream that I have always strived for.”

She stated that what has been achieved is for every Saudi citizen, and it is a strong message to the world, “The sons and daughters of Saudi Arabia are able to compete in all international forums, and just as they reached space, they are able to reach further and higher than that.”
